Pioneer Encampment
1812 reenactment all this week at the state park a lot of different talents spinning, weaving, horn smithing, frontier music, etc
Went on a cave tour explaining how the mined and processed the dirt enriched with bat excrement to extract saltpeter. One of the main ingredients in black powder and if it weren't for the volunteers mining the saltpeter we would be speaking with a British accent.
